Rella the Musical
A new original musical Written and Directed by
Bevin Victoria & Aaron Wheeler-Kay
Rella is musical loosely based on the ancient folktale of a young servant woman
who happens upon a stroke of luck that elevates her station.
A multi-ethnic immigrant woman, Rella exists in a world that convinces her
there is no place for her on the elite circus stage.
Though she dreams of flying high with the Charming Family Circus,
her step-family have their own ideas about who deserves to be in the limelight.
In the Night Bazaar Rella will meet Fairly G, an unexpected link to her homeland, and Prince,
a young man disenchanted with his family legacy.
Together they will to help Rella prepare an audition for the annual Charming Family Circus Ball
and help her realize that no matter how inconceivable it may seem,
a dream is always a risk worth taking.
Mission
Rella premiered as a 6-song preview in April 2024. Later that year Rella was performed as a concert-style review, inviting audiences to hear the entire musical sung through from start to finish. Our next step is getting into the studio and recording. Also at this time we are excited about connecting with investors to help the full mount come to life!
